Little Court Co's Debut at Green Olive

The Vineyard of Victory: Little Court Co's Debut at Green Olive

What do you do on a perfect winter's day in Red Hill? Well, you play pickleball at Australia's first vineyard-set court! We couldn't think of anywhere better for Little Court Co's very first photoshoot. Green Olive Winery is the perfect spot to show off the style of our Australian-designed and inspired paddles.

A match made in Mornington Peninsula heaven

We knew how lucky we were when we rolled up to Green Olive on the Mornington Peninsula. Despite being smack bang in the middle of winter, Mother Nature delivered gorgeous, sunny weather that transformed the already stunning vineyard into an absolutely breathtaking backdrop.

Green Olive is a working farm where they grow everything from olives and grapes to herbs and veggies, all while raising sheep, chickens, pigs, and ducks. It's farm-to-table dining at its finest, with panoramic views of the dam, vineyard, and vegetable gardens that'll have your friends asking for directions. The fact that they've got Australia's first vineyard-set pickleball court is just the cherry on top of an already incredible setup.

A masterclass in collaboration

Jimmy's Projects was behind the lens, capturing every dynamic moment with our creative director, Jackson, making sure every shot perfectly captured Little Court Co's vision. We were trying to avoid the sterile, corporate photoshoot with a bunch of hired models looking awkward with paddles they'd never held before, so we pulled together a wonderful group of friends and family for a genuine celebration of our product's launch.

You can feel the authentic energy in every frame because we had our people actually enjoying themselves, playing proper games of pickleball on a gorgeous court nestled right in the vineyard. It's this kind of setup that perfectly captures what pickleball is really about: connection, fun, and good times with great people.

The paddles that stole the show

The real stars of the day were those stunning paddles. Little Court Co isn’t interested in churning out the same boring designs as every other brand out there. Our Australian-designed paddles caught the attention of everyone who saw them, with onlookers and fellow venue guests captivated by the quality and design.

The Ripple and Grandstand paddles are flying off the shelves, boasting perfect 5.0-star ratings, and the feedback from the day was pretty much unanimous: the game is much more enjoyable with well-crafted and visually appealing equipment.

More than just pretty paddles

Our eye for design is definitely a big part of what we do, but we've also thought through the whole experience. We've got starter kits for those getting started, doubles kits for couples (or best mates), and squad kits for bigger groups, all with decent savings that make getting into the game more accessible.

We're backing our paddle kits up with free shipping on orders over $169 and easy 30-day returns, handled by our responsive, Aus-based team of real people.

Riding the pickleball wave

Pickleball has absolutely exploded. It's seen 311% growth over the last three years, with nearly 20 million players in the US alone. The average player age is dropping to 34.8 years old, with the 25-34 age group now making up the biggest chunk of players.

This isn't a fad. The sport's got everything going for it. It's easy to learn, affordable to play, great for fitness without destroying your joints, and the social aspect is incredible. With over 68,000 courts across the US and the global market projected to hit $4.4 billion by 2033, pickleball is now making its way to Australia.

Visit Green Olive for some pickle fun

Props have to go to Greg and Sophie, the wonderful owners of Green Olive, for hosting such an incredible day. This place really is something special. They've created a whole farm experience where you can tour the working farm, enjoy delicious food made from their own produce, let the kids loose on the Olympic trampoline and playground, and yes, play pickleball surrounded by grapevines.

Their PickleBall & Lunch packages combine active fun with gourmet dining in a way that perfectly captures the lifestyle aspect of modern pickleball.
